Dismas Ministry – is a Catholic Outreach to victims, prisoners, their loved ones, those released from prison and the entire community. Named after the “good thief,” who was convicted along with Jesus, this organization strives for restorative justice through projects that are designed to foster spiritual transformation. Volunteers help administer a Faith Study course for inmates across the country. Twice a week they gather to process requests for faith study materials and to assess the progress of each participant. While this ministry does not visit inmates directly, our St. Margaret Mary volunteers are impacting the faith lives of those in prison. They are also being changed by faith they witness in those who are in prison. Through these volunteers our parish is living out the corporal work of mercy to visit the imprisoned.
