What is Holy Orders?
Holy Orders is the sacrament by which bishops, priests and deacons are ordained and entrusted by Christ to serve the Church (2 Tim. 1:6-7) as pastors, teachers, and spiritual fathers who heal, feed, and strengthen God's people.
Most especially through preaching and the administration of the sacraments. They receive the power and grace to perform their sacred duties. The Twelve Apostles were ordained by Jesus at the Last Supper so that others could share in his priesthood.
